Careercoaching
Career coaching is one of my passions. But it took me a while to discover it, and I often wish I had had someone to point me in the right direction sooner. Now I have the privilege of helping others find their direction to a career that takes advantage of their talent and passion
Through the use of the Personal Style Indicator (by CRG Leadership) and
Co-Active Coaching, I work with clients to understand their strengths and weaknesses. We look at passion and talent as indicators of meaningful work. And we answer questions like:
What do you want out of life? What are you best at? What energizes, and what drains you?
Through this process of self-discovery, my clients define who they are and what they are good at. When you know yourself - what excites you and what you talents are - answering the question of where will I succeed quickly becomes clear.
CoachING
I have worked with clients from all walks of life, from artists to PhD graduates. They all want the same thing: to make better decisions. They want to better understand themselves, and to improve their emotional intelligence. They want to make an impact.
As one client put it, I “lay out the map” for more intentional decision making. I view my clients not as needing to be fixed, but as looking to be discovered. And so, my role is that of a conversation partner. I provide a sounding board to help my clients discover their own answers and make their own, informed choices.
Authenticity is hard work, and to make our choices from an authentic place sometimes means enlisting the support of a coach. Someone who will hold your aspirations before you, and journey with you in reaching them.
